NEW! Engaging outdoor active trips for those looking to add more adventure to their slate of summer activities. Meet new friends, challenge yourself and learn new skills with the Teen Adventure Series. Sign up for all the trips or pick the one(s) that spark your interest. Those who are enrolled in Reading Recreation Summer Camp and wish to attend a trip will receive a $20 discount per trip (must contact the Recreation Division to receive discount). Most of the scheduled trips will run rain or shine, however if a trip is cancelled by the instructor, a rain date will be offered for participants. All trips depart from the Imagination Station Lot at 9:00AM.
Each trip includes, transportation, professional instruction, gear and staff supervision. Participants should pack appropriately for each trip. Additional items to always pack: sunscreen, H20, appropriate footwear, bathing suit, towel, lunch and snacks. Participants can pack extra money if desired for food or trip memorabilia. All trips require pre-registration with the Recreation Division one week before the scheduled trip.
Waivers for each trip must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian. Please see links below for all waiver forms. Waivers must be received by the Recreation Division prior to each trip.

SUP Lesson with Surfari, Manchester, MA
A two-hour Stand-Up Paddleboard Lesson followed by time at Singing Beach
Fee: $45 per participant Time: 9:00AM-3:00PM

Outdoor Rock Climbing with Boston Rock Gym, Woburn, MA
A four-hour guided climbing lesson at Hammond Pond, Brookline, MA
Fee: $70 per participant Time: 9:00AM-4:00PM

Bike to Boat Tour with Urban AdvenTours, Boston, MA
An hour-and-a-half bike tour, a ride on the Constitution, and lunch at Christopher Columbus Park

Surf Lessons with Cinnamon Rainbows, Hampton, NH
A two-hour surf lesson followed by time at Hampton Beach
Fee: $60 per participant Time: 9:00AM-3:30PM

Sea Kayaking with Discovery Adventures, Gloucester, MA
A three-hour guided tour with instruction on Ipswich Bay
Fee: 85 per participant Time: 9:00AM-5:00PM
Tuesday, August 11th
Canopy Zipline Tour with Mount Sunapee, Newbury, NH
A two-and-a-half hour canopy tour with time at Mount Sunapee Beach
(Participants must weigh between 80 lbs. and 250 lbs.)
